At Fespa 2018, HP announced its new PageWide T1170 and PageWide T1190 presses for high-quality, high-volume digitally printed corrugated boxes and retail displays.
In 2016, HP installed its first PageWide T1100S Press at DS Smith, offering single-pass four-colour printing with true water-based inks and speeds of up to 183 linear meters (600 feet) per minute. In 2018, the new T1170 and T1190 presses each offer printing of up to six colors (CMYK + orange and violet). This gamut expansion will help with colour matching of more brand colours. Each may be purchased as new presses or as field upgrades to the currently installed T1100S.
Built on the 2.8m (110-inch) web platform, the new PageWide T1170 prints up to 183 linear meters per minute (same as T1100S). At this speed, this press prints up to 30,600 square meters of liner per hour. The PageWide T1190 prints up to 305 linear meters (1000 feet) per minute. At top speed, this press prints up to 51,206 square meters of liner per hour.
