Container repair and refurbishment specialist UK Container Maintenance (UKCM), is celebrating a highly-successful year announcing significant business expansion and a record year-end turnover of £7.8 m.
UKCM has consolidated its offering as it continues to support businesses across the UK to secure significant cost-savings with the maintenance of their waste and recycling containers, while also extending the longevity of the assets. The Cheshire-based company has launched to market a series of new products and services to diversify its provision, including maintenance and repairs for street furniture, litter bins, metal stillages, transit cages and bespoke metal pallets, carried out at the customer’s site or at UKCM’s state-of-the-art refurbishment facility.

In facilitating its growth and ensuring the consistent delivery of a best-in-class service following a multitude of contract wins, including a number of new manufacturing and automotive clients, UKCM has continued to bolster its workforce throughout the year. Most recently, the company appointed Jamie-Lee Ross to the position of Purchasing and Production Planner and strengthened its Sales and Business Development team.
Further developments for the company throughout the year include upweighted operational capability. UKCM expanded its fleet of rapid response vehicles and mobile engineers to meet increased demand for visits to customer premises for container repair and refurbishment, to undertake any statutory testing and for the installation of UKCM Connect container tracking devices. The introduction of UKCM Connect responds to a direct industry need to move container management to the next level, offering services that not only increase the lifespan of a container but also help to maintain compliance, maximise utilisation, enhance security, minimise transportation costs and maximise margin for the container provider.
