The American Forest & Paper Association released its November 2018 Containerboard Monthly report. Containerboard production was up 3.2 percent compared to November 2017 and up 1.9 percent year-to-date. The month-over-month average daily production compared to September 2018 was 3.4 percent higher. The containerboard operating rate was 96.0 percent, 1.4 percentage points lower than the same month last year. Production for export increased 5.2 percent from October 2018 and was up 0.9 percent year-to-date.
