Total boxboard production in November 2019 decreased 2% compared to November 2018, according to the American Forest & Paper Association’s (AF&PA) November 2019 Boxboard Monthly Report. It was down 1% when compared to the same 11 months of 2018. The boxboard operating rate was 93.0%, down 0.7 points from November 2018.
Solid bleached boxboard production in November decreased 2% compared to November 2018. It was down 0.5% when compared to the same 11 months of 2018. Recycled boxboard production in November decreased 3% compared to November 2018. It was down 1% when compared to the same 11 months of 2018. Unbleached kraft & gypsum production in November decreased 2% compared to November 2018. It was essentially flat (-0.2%) when compared to the same 11 months of 2018.
