The BoxMaker, a Pacific Northwest packaging company with an innovative web-to-packaging print business, is adding an HP Scitex 15500 Corrugated Press to deliver brilliant graphics as it accelerates production in corrugated packaging and display, including customized products for targeted retail marketing campaigns.
The new press will give The BoxMaker capacity to grow current production from 2 million to over 3 million square feet in monthly digital print, making it one of the leading suppliers of customized packaging and display in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. HP digital presses support The BoxMaker’s automated digital job workflow, enabling the company to streamline the online purchase and subsequent production of packaging, powering their eCommerce packaging solution Fantastapack.
Founded in 1981 as a small box plant, The BoxMaker, located outside of Seattle, Washington, has grown to become an all-in-one supplier of packaging innovation, providing integrated services and solutions that effectively address client business needs from custom boxes and labels to protective packaging, supplies, and fulfillment. Last year, The BoxMaker added a HP Scitex 17000 Corrugated Press and an HP Indigo WS6800 Digital Press.
“Our investment in HP technology continues with the HP Scitex 15500 to complement and grow our business with a trusted partner,” said Richard Brown, President and CEO, The BoxMaker. “Our digital business continues to grow quickly and we anticipate increasing volume.”
In an effort to educate businesses on the power of digital print, The BoxMaker is hosting the inaugural Packaging Experience Summit this coming January 15-16, where customers and brands are invited to learn from industry experts how to benefit from the value of digital print and production.
The HP Scitex 15500 Corrugated Press will also enable The BoxMaker to enjoy 6-color printing and higher speed in 4-color process printing, for faster time to market and delivery of large scale orders. The press enables printing of high-quality graphics on a wide range of corrugated media using HP Scitex High Dynamic Range (HDR) Printing Technology, providing precision control over color and tone for clarity of image detail. HDR is ideal for high-impact graphics in packaging applications.
