Paul Herson, Sales Manager of GTS (Europe) Ltd, has confirmed the company has had a good period of sales with Gazzella Atlantique’s Sodeme range of stitchers.
Sodeme was acquired by Gazzella Atlantique several years ago and the range of stitchers are still being manufactured at the original Sodeme factory, with many of the same engineers.
“We are happy to confirm the recent installation of an OSCIL 3600 single piece semi-automatic stitcher with glue attachment at Harleys of Leicester,” states Herson. “We have also secured orders for two more two-piece stitcher/gluers at Donoghue Packaging in Cork, Ireland and also at West Coast Corrugated in Liverpool, where their new machine will run alongside their two existing Sodeme machines.”
He continues, “On top of this, an order has just been placed for another two-piece stitcher/gluer at Box-It in Belfast, Northern Ireland.”
Herson concludes, “I started installing the Sodeme range of machines back in the 1980s with Edlon Machinery and when I joined GTS, I took on the role of selling them also. They are reliable and solid pieces of equipment that run for years. I recently visited Nuttall Packaging to see the Weipong casemaker installation and I remarked to their operators that I had installed their Sodeme over 30 years ago, it is still running well to this day.”
