Marbach has expanded its portfolio; the solidplate cutting-die with dimensionally stable die-board is now also available in an aluminium version.
The company says there is a good reason for this – this special die-board not only impresses with its precision, but also with its low weight. The solidplate|alu is particularly advantageous for large machine formats. Precision is key when die-cutting, especially with large formats. The larger the tool, the greater the impact of even the smallest dimensional tolerances. The tool weight is also a factor that should not be underestimated.
Bernhard Reisser, Marbach industry manager, says, “By using aluminium instead of steel, the solidplate|alu is precise and ensures productivity and the best die-cutting results in packaging production. But that’s not all: it is also lightweight and therefore much easier to handle than a steel tool.”
The solidplate|alu is a dimensionally stable die-board that is characterised by its good hygroscopic properties, an optimal register to the steel counter plate and its durability as well as a high number of re-knivings. In addition, the ejector rubber on the solidplate|alu is particularly easy to replace. It is mainly used for food packaging, but also in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.
