B&R Moll, Inc. has developed the Moll Flexcut System – a compact in-line, sheet-fed, die-cutter, folder/gluer system specifically designed to provide digital and commercial printers with reliable, high-speed and versatile performance for packaging projects, including boxes, cartons, labels, pocket folders and more. It features many of B&R Moll’s proven folding and feeding mechanisms, including an open format layout that enables operators to quickly change over between jobs to meet tight production schedules. The machine can be configured to produce a wide range of finished pieces in a number of shapes and sizes.
The Moll Flexcut System offers touch screen controls, rear suction cups, a servo register in-feed with dual air wheel suction and a stripping section that deflects the matrix waste downward. “The system was designed so that operators would be able to do their die-cutting, stripping, folding and gluing all in one process,” said Kevin Moll, Vice President of sales for B&R Moll, Inc. “Through the integration of our die-cutter and folding/gluing equipment, we’re making a four-step process a one-step process, reducing time and labour and thus increasing production and profits for companies.”
The compact B&R Moll Flexcut System can handle substrate weights ranging from 220 to 400gsm in sizes ranging from 431mm x 279mm (17 x 11 inches) up to 508mm x 508mm (20 x 20 inches) for the Moll Flexcut 580mm and 760mm x 760mm (30 x 30 inches) for the Moll Flexcut 760. Maximum linear speed is 7,000 sheets per hour. The system is available with either 400V 3-phase, 50Hz or 220V 3-phase, 60Hz power connection.
