Saverio Gamberini, a member of the board of directors of UCIMA (Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers’ Association) and general manager of MG2, has been designated the new chairman of CEN TC 146, the European technical committee responsible for drawing up European standards on packaging machinery safety.
“We are proud to see one of our board members and someone who is attentive to the issue of safety, at the head of such an important body for the packaging machinery industry,” commented UCIMA’s chairman Enrico Aureli. “We have always firmly believed that safety is an essential aspect of machinery quality.”
“It is an honour for me to represent our country’s industry within this European committee,”said Gamberini. “Safety standards are crucial and I will devote my full attention to all countries.”
