Reconomy has been recognised as the Top Portfolio Company at the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA) Excellence in ESG Awards 2024 for the second time.
The BVCA awards celebrate outstanding performance, responsible investment and the best teams backed by private capital. The Excellence in ESG Awards category recognises firms across the private capital ecosystem that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
Following an extensive judging process, Reconomy was named the Top Portfolio Company due to its singular focus on creating a circular future and waste-free world where finite resources are conserved and economic growth is achieved through sustainable circular means. The award noted how Reconomy exists to make participating in the circular economy simpler for its customers around the world and therefore, how its sustainability strategy is inextricably linked to its commercial strategy. The judges also noted how Reconomy strives for the highest standards in ESG and to lead by example.
