Progroup has now taken over the site of Sappi Stockstadt GmbH and is marking a first milestone for the new circular economy location in Stockstadt.
According to current plans, a state-of-the-art factory for the sustainable production of corrugated base papers with around 200 jobs will be operational by the end of the decade.
The selective dismantling of the Sappi factory will begin shortly and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. The centerpiece will be one of the most modern and powerful paper machines in the world for the production of environmentally friendly and high-quality corrugated base paper. The new paper machine is designed to work sustainably and energy-efficiently for the next 50 to 60 years. Progroup only uses waste paper as a raw material.
