Pamarco opens new anilox manufacturing facility in Batavia, IL

Parmaco has recently opened their new anilox manufacturing facility in Batavia, IL, with employees and customers in mind. Their previous facility was home to the company for more than an 60 years and housed the chrome plating operation, which was relocated to the Roselle facility, along with mechanical engraving. This new building addresses the need for better ergonomics for employees, improved lighting and better flow through the plant.

The new building was designed to improve flow with use of a bridge crane system above the manufacturing stations. “This system allows us to go from each department via cranes instead of the workers manually moving products with carts or buggies,” said Dave Drozd, VP of Manufacturing. “We’ve got a nice flow going through the plant from incoming inspection through final inspection.”

The Batavia facility features an improved layout and design, changing how employees navigate the plant and complete their jobs. “They’re understanding the design of the building and why we laid it out the way we did. It was a major change for them going from one system to the new system, but they’ve adjusted very well and are enjoying the new layout.”

Parmaco looks forward to opening the Batavia facility to the public for in-person plant tours. For now, there’s a virtual tour online that can be viewed here.
