Orda Group choose Indigo 30000

Orda Group, a leading Israeli provider of transactional and transpromo printing services, has chosen the HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press to drive the next stage of its expansion into the packaging market. The new press is installed at Orda’s Eshel subsidiary, a prominent Israeli producer of folding cartons.

Orda took its first steps in packaging about 18 months ago when it acquired Eshel as part of its strategy to enter market segments where its extensive digital printing experience would open opportunities for higher margins and rapid growth. It identified pharmaceuticals and cosmetics packaging as ripe for transition to digital printing, due to the increasing demand for small quantities and faster turnaround and the focus on high quality.

At the time, Eshel was an entirely analog printer, so Orda looked for the right solution to drive growth through digital printing. In October 2016, Eshel installed the HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press, a 75 cm-format offset-matching sheetfed press for folding cartons.

“The HP Indigo 30000 Digital Press stood out as a mature solution for folding cartons,” says Roni Haliva, CEO of Orda Print Industries. “We also felt that HP Indigo was the best partner to accompany us in our expansion into this market – and in fact, we have already gained several new customers because of our new Indigo offering.”

Yaron Assael, VP of Marketing and Business Development at Orda, adds, “The HP Indigo press allows us to offer customers faster time to market and to innovate with applications using personalization, segmentation, augmented reality and other capabilities of digital printing, along with the top quality and colour gamut of Indigo. We find that digital printing also adds value in terms of improving the efficiency we get from our offset machines.”
