The Dutch company Nova Paper, which is affiliated to Eren Holdings of Turkey, has acquired 100% of the shares of Wolverhampton-based Onboard Corrugated Ltd.
Paul Jundu and the Klingele Paper and Packaging Group, who previously held Onboard as a 50/50 joint venture, have decided to sell the company. Klingele will exit the UK sheet market and has simultaneously entered the Austrian market by acquiring 50% of Maistapack, which specialises in corrugated and thermoformed carton packaging. Jundu will continue to lead operations in the UK with the full backing of the Eren family. The Eren group is currently investing in these sectors in both their home country Turkey, and overseas, including the United Kingdom.
Onboard Corrugated is in the process of completing the installation of a second BHS Corrugated 2.8m corrugator, which will imminently increase production capacity to 250m sqm annually.
Jundu said, “Our intention is to simply continue the journey of Onboard in an organic way and improve our service levels even more, which the second corrugator will allow us to do. I am so proud of our team and what this company has achieved to date.”
In 2024, Onboard experienced 25% volume growth, limited only by existing capacity. With the second corrugator becoming fully operational, customers can expect even better service levels throughout the year, particularly during peak trading periods.
