W. H. Leary Company has launched the Sempre-i cold glue application valve with increased precision, safety and Predictive Maintenance Intelligence. It is a more superior valve, developed with a slim 19.8mm profile, has a wider glue viscosity range and optimised glue flow – yielding even cleaner starts/stops and precision.
Continuing with the previous valve’s +/-1 mm accuracy standards, this valve boasts a 1 billion-cycle durability rating. Improved operator safety with a new, easily accessible, in-line purge button located on the cable away from moving machinery ensures a quick valve purge.
In addition to increasing the overall function and effectiveness of the valve’s performance, Leary is said to be offering the first valve with an Integrated Valve ID chip utilising Predictive Maintenance Intelligence. Valve cycle information, stored in Monet OS, allows operators to determine customisable set points that appear as pop-up windows. These notifications offer accurate and timely warnings on when to perform routine maintenance, ensuring the highest levels of usability. Predictive Maintenance Intelligence in conjunction with the CXU 110 Pump and GRU monitors cycle effectiveness of all glue application components.
“Continuing to develop products for the future is at our core. Giving operators the ability to have a more self-sufficient glue application solution based on performance, application precision and measured maintenance data removes unknown inefficiencies,” says Andrew Sims, Director of Product and Market Development at W. H. Leary.
