Massimo Palombo has been appointed as the new Sales Director of Quantum Corrugated – a member of Fosber Group. He takes over the role from Michael Schmiedt, who is retiring at the end of February 2022.
Palombo (pictured left) joined Fosber in 1995, when he was recruited as a Field Service Engineer. In 2001, he was appointed as Customer Care Technical Supervisor and four years later, he was promoted to Area Sales Manager. In this role, he covered the Italian market. He was then promoted to become Regional Sales Director in 2010, a role he held for nine years.
From 2019 to the middle of 2021, Palombo was Technical Director at Smurfit Kappa Italy, before re-joining the Fosber Group, as Sales Director of Quantum Corrugated at the end of the summer 2021.
“I am happy to be taking on this prestigious role and have re-joined the Fosber family,” commented Palombo. “I have been working alongside Michael Schmiedt for the last few months, as he moves towards retirement. I wish him all the best for his next life, I know that a lot of people in the industry would wish him a happy retirement as well.”
