It has been reported that Romanian paper company, Ecopaper SA, has recently started up a new paper machine at its mill in Zarnesti, near Brasov. The two-layer machine, which produces fluting and Testliner, will have an annual capacity of about 250,000 tonnes, but the company said it is unlikely to reach capacity for the foreseeable future, suggesting it might be close to capacity by 2018. The comapmny will be targeting its liners at box plants who run high quality graphics and digital print.
Ecopaper claims to be one of the leading recycled containerboard producers in Romania. The mill in Zarnesti has two paper machines; the new one and an existing containerboard machine with an annual capacity of 80,000 tonnes.
