ANC Machinery, suppliers worldwide of the Kawahara Series of offline blankers, has now introduced an entry level blanking machine to complement its existing product portfolio. The Kawahara TXR has long been recognised as the industry standard for blankers in cartons, cards and labels. The introduction of the BM-1080 now offers an opportunity for smaller converters to begin automatic blanking at a reasonable entry price.
“Our flagship TXR-1100 is an unrivalled performer in offline solidboard blanking, used by many of the world’s leading carton producers,” says Gary Compton, ANC Sales Manager, “but we recognised that for some markets and smaller companies it may be seen as a too heavy an investment even given the increases in productivity it provides. The BM-1080 fills that gap.”
Whereas the TXR uses a pin-bed system for blanking an entire pile of sheets, the BM-1080 punches individual stacks of product – up to 25 stacks per minute from a 200 sheet pile of cartonboard. The BM is based on existing technology which has been upgraded to full UL/CSA/CE compliance and is fully supported around the world by ANC Machinery.
“The Kawahara range continues to sell steadily in its core markets and we expect that the BM-1080 will do equally as well in its appeal as a perfect entry point blanker for many converters,” says Compton.
