New-Indy JV Corp. has entered into an agreement to acquire triPAQ, Inc., a second generation family-owned corrugated packaging company with facilities in Santa Ana and Cerritos, California, Mexicali (Mexican state of Baja California) and Tijuana, Mexico. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition provides New-Indy an entry into the large Southern California box market and expands its footprint into Mexico with a diverse mix of custom corrugated and specialty packaging capabilities, New-Indy reports. The acquisition will further integrate New-Indy’s mills in Ontario and Oxnard, California, as well as the Encorr Sheet feeder that is scheduled to begin operating in early 2017 and is located next to the Ontario Mill.
Brad McCroskey, CEO and co-chair of triPAQ, Inc., will continue to oversee the company’s operation and growth, New-Indy added.
New-Indy Containerboard, LLC was formed in 2012 as a joint venture by the Kraft Group, LLC and the Schwarz Partners, LP.
