Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Europe has confirmed that an agreement, which was established in late 2014, has been working well with SRC for the production of corrugating rolls. Following the termination of a licence agreement with Terdeca, MHI is now working exclusively with the Korean roll manufacturer, SRC.
“We are delighted to be working with SRC from Korea for the production of all new corrugating rolls for MHI single facers,” confirms Giovanni Bettini, Sales Director EMEA. “They are also working with us exculisvely for the regrinding of MHI rolls, ensuring a consistent and continuous supply to customers throughout the world for both new and reground sets of rolls. We are happy to be working with Mr Yoon and his team at SRC, as they implement the entire roll requirements for Mitsubishi, based on our own proprietary roll designs, coatings and flute profiles.”
The co-operation between the two businesses began back in 2005, when MHI in Japan started to use the SRC rolls. MHI then expanded the agreement to include activity in the USA in 2011 and then finally into Europe in 2014.
