With the rise in popularity of UV technology and especially LED-UV, KBA North America will be sending its top tech experts to speak at the upcoming Print UV 2017 conference at the Encore by Wynn Resort in Las Vegas, March 29-31. Top experts include Chris Travis, Dirk Winkler, and Michael Eichler. Now in its tenth year, Print UV 2017 will draw commercial, packaging, and specialty converters and printers to the three-day exploration of how it can be integrated into their shops.
One of the most popular subjects at this year’s conference will be LED-UV. As experts in this field, KBA will be discussing new LED-UV technology in the market including KBA’s new VariDry LED-UV. LED-UV curing is a low-energy drying technology that delivers numerous benefits. These include a particularly high print quality, ability to stand out on critical uncoated and offset stock with sharp dots and high color brilliance, no fold breaks even with high ink coverage due to elastic polymerization, and the elimination of printing powder.
“I look forward to celebrating this extra special conference’s tenth year,” says Chris Travis. “Our plan is to introduce 10 different UV coating effects for our attendees to view and perhaps adopt in their own facilities for their customers.”
