Fosber has confirmed that it has opened a service center in Turkey, in collaboration with its Turkish representative; Teknik Kagit has been representing Fosber in Turkey since 2004. The service centre will serve the plants in Turkey running Fosber equipment, including five complete corrugators. Turkish customers will receive direct support during project and installation phases.
The local organisation will be managed by one of the partners of Teknik Kagit, Turker Arguc, who has first-hand experience with Fosber for the last 13 years.
“As proof of our belief in the potential of the Turkish market, the service center has its own dedicated critical parts warehouse, located near to Istanbul Ataturk and Sabiha Gokcen airports,” explains Edoardo Silvestri, Sales Director, Fosber. “We also have an expert Italian Fosber field service engineer who is living in Istanbul, as well as a Turkish customer support engineer who is fluent in Italian to support Turkish customers at all stages from the supply of spare parts to remote/local technical assistance.”
“In the near future, Fosber has plans to increase the number of field service engineers and also to offer services, such as training, at our premises in Istanbul,” states Mr Arguc. “We will be importing all spare parts from Italy and delivering them directly to the customers’ door.”
Mr Arguc concludes, “Fosber’s investment in Turkey is well timed. The Turkish corrugated market currently produces around five billion sqm of board annually and that is set to increase to nine billion sqm by 2025, making Turkey one of the larger corrugated board producers.”
