Milton Keynes, UK-based ID Machinery have confirmed that they have come to an agreement with Shandong Century to distribute its range of corrugated die-cutting equipment in the United Kingdom. John Brasier of ID, explains, “As a long term supplier of flexo equipment with TCY, we felt we needed a quality automatic flat bed die-cutter to compliment our new machinery. After extensive market research, we looked closely at Century and were delighted when they approached us with view to representing them. With some previous installations already in the UK, including at one of our good customers in Wales, we accepted.”
Century have been building machinery for over 25 years and concentrated their efforts on die-cutting over the last 10 years. Operating from a purpose built 45,000 sqm factory chose to Weifang in China, Century supply around 35 fully and semi-automatic die-cutters per month. The range includes fully automatic machines in sizes from 1300mm to 1650mm and semi automatic models with up to 2100mm. Both lead edge and lower cartridge feed are available, as are pallet delivery or batch counter options. To reduce the number of operators required for double installations, mirror configuration is also available. The machines are built to the highest specification, utilising European or Japanese branded parts and are fitted with the latest technologies, including full servo drive and computer fastset.
The first of the new design of high speed computerised flat bed die-cutters will be installed by ID in September, with full service and back up utilising its own team of specialist engineers from its factory in Milton Keynes.
