UK-based carton converter, The Wilkins Group, has invested £150,000 on a new Heiber and Schröber tray forming machine for its Nottingham based site to help in the fight against plastic. The purchase follows a string of investments in the past 18 months, all made in a bid to meet demand after the well documented issues regarding plastic.
Justin Wilkins, Group Sales Director said, “As a business, we are seeing an increase in demand for cartonboard trays. We are being approached daily by various companies, ones that we know and ones that we don’t know, all asking for options. We are in essence, building capacity to cope with that extra demand.”
