Paul Herson, Product Manager, GTS Europe, has confirmed that Westpack in Kirkby in Ashfield are one of the latest companies to install a GTS Boxstar shortrun boxmaker.
Westpack has two sites, its larger production facility in Sheffield caters for all grades including heavy duty. Its sister site in Kirkby is a more conventional sheet plant, but is now also able to produce heavy duty cases as well, thanks to its latest addition the GTS Boxstar 3000HD. The machine is also equipped with two die cut units, making it easy to produce tuck in box with hinged lids (as shown below).
“We are happy to see yet another customer joining the growing number of Boxstar installations in the UK and Ireland,” commented Herson.
