David Williams, Managing Director of GTS (Europe) Ltd, has confirmed that the company has recently added to its engineering support with the appointment of Mike Sanderson as a Field Service Technician.
Sanderson is a fully qualified engineer, having spent six years in the Royal Air Force. During this time, he was a Mechanical Technician, within the ‘Ground Power Team’. He said, “I am looking forward to getting into plants within the UK corrugated industry and seeing capital equipment in action making a wide range of corrugated packaging solutions. With a role in the UK military, I am fully aware of the importance of up-time for critical equipment and this is no different for an industrial sector such as packaging.”

Williams adds, “Bringing Mike into our team at a time of international uncertainty due to COVID-19 shows not only our commitment to keep our customers machinery running, but also our acknowledgement of the importance of regular service and support for our growing customer base. This latest investment in talent brings additional depth to the team. Mike will be working alongside Jamie McDonald, our Engineering Manager and he will also be on hand to assist our customers with critical issues during the enforced lock-down by way of Zoom video or FaceTime calls to operators on the shop floor to allow for faster diagnosis of machine issues.”
