Grupo Gondi continue expansion

Grupo Gondi has confirmed it will build a new corrugated plant in Sonora, Mexico. It will produce high-quality printed packaging in order to support growth in the Northwest of the country. The packaging products will serve local beer, industrial and produce businesses.

The new plant is expected to cost around $44 million and will create 600 direct and indirect job during construction. Once built, the plant will employ 250 people and it is believed that the plant will operate with 100% solar energy supply.

“This new plant, along with the investments that Grupo Gondi is developing in Mexicali, Nava, Monterrey and Merida, as well as the investment in the Monterrey paper mill, highlights our investment and employment commitments to Mexico,” said Eduardo Posada, CEO of Grupo Gondi.
