Golfers raise £9,600 for injured armed forces members at BOBST golf day

Teams from across print and packaging have teed off for the sixth time to help BOBST raise £9,641 for charity. The 2023 Charity Golf Day returned to Redditch Golf Club on June 29 to raise money for the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Benevolent Fund.

The event was supported by sponsors and saw 20 teams comprising suppliers, partners, customers, and Bobst employees take to the course before enjoying a two-course meal.

Bobst has supported DMRC Benevolent Fund with fundraisers including golf days, raffles and more for seven years, raising more than £85,000 in support of its work. The DMRC Benevolent Fund provides serving armed forces personnel with specialist equipment and services while undertaking mental and physical rehabilitation programmes.

Neil Jones, General Manager, Bobst UK & Ireland, said, “The charity golf day is one of the standout events of the Bobst calendar and is something we look forward to running each year. It has become such a popular event that we found ourselves having to turn down teams this year. Thanks to the generosity and kind support of our sponsors, partners, suppliers and customers, I’m delighted to say we have raised another huge amount, totalling £9,641, in support of the DMRC Benevolent Fund, which will help it further its vital cause of supporting injured armed forces personnel. Our huge thanks to everyone who came together to make this event such a success. We are already hard at work preparing for 2024’s Golf Day fundraiser and would encourage anyone interested in taking part and supporting the DMRC’s great work to book their place as soon as possible!”
