Oji Fibre Solutions has confirmed it is building a new packaging plant on the outskirts of the Gold Coast, bringing 50 permanent jobs to the region. The company announced they would be building a new factory in Yatala.
Oji Fibre Solutions CEO, Jon Ryder, said the Green Star rated building would create 300 jobs for construction and about 50 jobs once complete. “We believe there is opportunity to take advantage of the increasing demand for corrugated packaging in Queensland and the Yatala project fits our strategy to increase vertical integration across our pulp, paper and packaging business,” he said.
