Paul Herson, Product Manager, GTS Europe Ltd, confirms that there has been a lot of positive interest for the range of gluers and stitchers from Gazzella Atlantique recently, with four machines having been installed at corrugated box plants in the UK over the last few months.
“Following three recent Gazzella two piece stitcher/gluer installations, we have just supplied a fourth machine – a Gazzella DT4800 dedicated two piece gluer – to Surepac in Knowsley,” says Paul Herson. “Surepac’s Managing Director, Tony Sharratt, wanted a machine to handle large format Octabins as well as the normal single and two piece work. The dedicated two piece gluer was installed in November and the customer is already producing a high volume of work from this machine.”
The DT4800 is a semi-automatic gluer, which produces single and/or two-piece corrugated boxes. It can be run by one operator, is easy to set up and can run at high speed, depending on box size and format. It handles sheets from a minimum size of 270 x 200mm up to a maximum of 4,800 x 2,000mm.
