Giovanni Bettini, Sales & Marketing Director of MHI Europe, has confirmed the company has received an order for an EVOL 100 flexo folder gluer from the leading South African corrugated packaging company, Corruseal. The machine, which will be installed next to an existing EVOL at the company’s Cape Town facility, will be the fourth such machine for Corruseal. The privately-owned company already has two EVOL flexo folder gluers at its facility in Wadeville, near Johannesburg.
Having plenty of experience running the EVOL was not the only reason that Corruseal ordered its fourth machine from MHI. “We have always been impressed with the productivity of these high speed casemakers,” says Rajiv Mehta, Joint CEO of privately owned Corruseal Group. “However, we have seen a real lift in output since we sent our die makers to visit MHI in Japan recently. During a dedicated workshop, our die makers were taught how to improve the way that they make the die forms with a pin strip system. We are now making all our dies in-house for the EVOLs, which dramatically reduces the length of time for the supply of the dies, meaning we are able to deliver finished boxes to customers with a shorter lead time.”
“We are very happy to continue our collaboration and partnership with Corruseal, which is one of the fastest growing packaging groups in South Africa – they are a serious and trusted partner for us in the region,” concludes Bettini. “With this order, the number of EVOL in South Africa has now reached eight units, proving that it is one of the most highly efficient, highly productive flexo casemakers available anywhere in the world.”
