Nottinghamshire, UK-based Snap Ltd has recently added a DYSS X5 digital cutter to its equipment portfolio. Delivered in October, the new machine arrived in time for the demanding run up to Christmas, one of the company’s busiest periods.
Snap prides itself on a highly reactive, next day service which is driven, to a large extent by its online presence and e-commerce business model. With web-to-print systems already in place at the company’s factory, the new DYSS cutter fits seamlessly into Snap’s existing workflow. The machine runs from a stack of variable printed sheets, automatically loading and identifying each sheet, and then processing the corresponding cut file – previously a significantly more labour-intensive and time-consuming operation.
The DYSS X5 hit the ground running and is in constant use on a multi-shift basis, enabling Snap to meet its heavy, ever-changing workload and tight deadlines.
