Family run packaging manufacturer Argolin Ltd has taken delivery of a new DYSS X7 digital cutter from AG/CAD Ltd for prototyping and sampling corrugated and foam packaging.
With over 40 years in business, the Hampshire based company is renowned for producing high quality bespoke packaging solutions, from simple corrugated outers, through to full protective foam and corrugated packs for the most impact sensitive and fragile of products. With the ability to produce timber crates as well as pallet bases, every aspect of shipping customer product is handled in-house.
The design team at Argolin had been using the previous machine for a number of years to process corrugated, polyethylene and polyurethane foam fitments, but had concerns about longevity and ongoing maintenance of this old machine. During a visit to AG/CAD’s Cheshire showroom, the team were impressed with the performance and capability of the DYSS X7 and with the attention AG/CAD paid to specifying a new machine capable of handling both corrugated sampling and conversion of foam in up to 55mm PE and PU foams.
Argolin has used the Kasemake software for over 20 years and with the long-standing service provided by AG/CAD, made the decision to purchase straightforward. Argolin’s Managing Director, Liza Burns comments, “We needed to be sure that the machine we ordered would have fast and reliable back-up from a supplier that we trusted to see us through the next 20 years and our experiences with AG/CAD gave us this confidence. They have been very reactive in listening to our requirements and making adaptations to suit our precise applications. We are delighted with the new machine and the back-up we are now getting.”
