As part of its investment strategy, UK-based Lil Packaging Ltd have installed a two colour Dong Fang rotary die-cutter. Focussing on the ecommerce market, Lil Packaging has seen a huge growth in demand for its products. The existing equipment could not keep up with the demand of quality and quantity. With an ever increasing demand for a higher quality of print finish, the Cambridgeshire converter opted for a Topra GD 1224 two colour machine. With its vacuum transport and dust removal systems, the Topra GD allows users to achieve a higher quality of print finish. Just to be certain of quality and to avoid the risk of any marking problems, owner Barry Lill opted for an IR drying system from Baldwin Technology of Slough.
“The new Topra compliments the Eterna Elite die-cutter which was installed just over a year ago,” explains Ken Stolber of M&K Trading, sales agent for Dong Fang and Eterna. “Lil Packaging are able to offer a wide range of printed and diecut corrugated boxes, thanks to the installation of these two machines.”
Stolber concludes, “The Topra GD printer is becoming the machine of choice to achieve an off-line printing facility for flatbed die-cutters . With computer setup, it is quick and easy to change from one job to another and the level of print quality achieved is comparable with machines of much greater value.”
The Dong Fang machines are fully supported by M&K Trading, who help customers get the best from their machines by providing a dedicated and experienced industry trainer.
