DIG-Kirby, the British manufacturer of equipment and retrofits ideally suited to sheet plants, has now launched a new flexo printer-slotter. The first of these new FPS 2200 is set to be installed at WEKA Wellpappen und Kartonagen GmbH in Sebnitz, Germany. The deal was handled by DIG-Kirby’s agent for Germany, Alex Steinmuller of ASC-Global.
With a minimum sheet size of 200 x 200mm, the machine features a modular die-cutter (which is also available as a retrofit for other existing Kirby FPS-lines).
“These sheet dimensions can be reached only by using highest quality chromium airshafts,” explains Philip Godbold, Sales Director at DIG-Kirby. “To be able to convert these small sheet sizes is a true selling point for this new machine.”
