De Jong Packaging Holding (DJV), the Dutch independent corrugated manufacturer, has completed the acquisition of Gaster Wellpappe and expands its production into Germany. With three locations in Heidelberg and Augsburg, Gaster fits well in the philosophy of DJV.
Ad Smit, CEO of DJV, said, “We are pleased that the Gaster family has joined us. The chemistry and philosophy of both family companies are a match.”
Julia Gaster-Kohl, CEO of Gaster Wellpappe adds, “I’m pleased I’ve met Henk de Jong and his company, who share the philosophy of our family and I’m looking forward to develop the Gaster Wellpappe company together.”
Gaster Wellpappe will continue the activities under its own name. It was founded in 1897 and moved to Heidelberg in 1947. It has 220 employees.
