CSi Packaging Inc. celebrated the grand opening of its U.S. headquarters in Richmond, Va., with an open house May 3-4 for customers and industry partners. Visitors were given a tour of the new facility and then transported to Dominion Packaging, a nearby folding carton manufacturer, to watch CSi technology in operation.
Several representatives from the world headquarters in the Netherlands attended the open house, including Mark van de Klundert, Managing Director, Jan de Bruijn, CEO of CSi Group, and Marc van Putte, head of Strategic Business Development.
The North American market has grown significantly for CSi Packaging, prompting the opening of a U.S. office, according to Jim Coddington, Director of Operations, North America. “The North American market has grown over 40 percent year over year so we’re on an accelerated growth plan that provides for an outstanding contribution towards the sales of the total CSi Group, which is about $100 million,” he said.
During the open house, visitors were given guided tours of the Richmond office and factory. The tour included demonstrations of the i-Pal end of line palletizing system, the i-Pack robotic case packing system and the i-Loader stack depalletizing and handling system.
