Corrugator Process Seminar for Sifa

Ongoing training is critical to ensure a machine lives up to its potential! Following the installation of a 2.8m S/Line corrugator at its customer Sifa SpA in 2016, Fosber says it has remained on hand, offering regular service of the machine and training for the operators.

Recently Marcello Manzoni, one of Fosber’s Engineers and Product Quality Specialists, hosted a Corrugator Process Seminar (CPS) at Sifa, one of Italy’s leading independent corrugated packaging producers which was founded in 1968.

“The purpose of CPS is for our specialist technicians to transfer knowledge and know-how to the operators at a customer plant,” explains Manzoni. “CPS is usually a three day workshop event, where operators interact with Fosber technicians on all steps within the process, from paper to steam, starch mixing to corrugating roll management and much more. The goal is to prepare participants to understand and resolve product quality problems, to make the necessary adjustments and manage the systems to prevent quality or manufacturing defects, maximise efficiency, reducing waste, and to respond proactively throughout the process.”
