Pro Carton and ECMA have revealed the finalists for the 21st European Carton Excellence Award and also announced that for the first time, there will be a special award for the public’s favourite. The Awards were first presented in 1997 under the name of Pro Carton ECMA Award. Now known as the Carton Excellence Award it is recognised as Europe’s most prestigious carton packaging award.
The Awards will be presented at the Gala Dinner of the ECMA Congress on 21st September 2017 in Salzburg. The awards are divided into nine different categories plus the the new Public Award and the ultimate accolade, Carton of the Year. The categories are:
- Drinks
- Confectionery
- Beauty & Cosmetics
- Food & Beverages
- Non-food
- Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals
- Volume Markets.
New for 2017, categories include:
- Save the Planet Award for a product that has made a significant contribution to helping the environment
- Most Innovative Award which will reward technical excellence.
The winners will appear on www.procarton.com at midnight on 21st September 2017.
