C&T Channel Matrix has launched ‘Duroprint Matrix’ — a brand new concept in fibre based creasing matrix. Following a request from Mito SRL, (C&T’s Italian subsidiary), for a fibre based matrix to sell into the Italian market, C&T developed this new product, which it is now launching in the UK.
Unlike traditional pressboard products, Duroprint Matrix is manufactured using a vulcanised fibre based material which makes the matrix more durable and less likely to wear or delaminate. This gives the customer benefits in terms of matrix durability and stability and makes Duroprint ideal for medium to long run applications. Also, because it is fibre based, it is easy to chamfer by hand.
Duroprint Matrix is available in widths of 9.4mm and 12.4 mm, with heights ranging from 0.3mm up to 1.6mm. In addition, Duroprint comes in special finishes which include mini, off-centre and double crease.
Simon Shenton, Managing Director at C&T Matrix said, “We are delighted to be able to offer Duroprint Matrix, as a durable fibre based matrix, to the UK. This latest innovation demonstrates how C&T is leading the way in terms of new products for die-cutters, plate makers and the print and packaging industries. It follows on from the successful 2018 UK launch of Rapido Matrix, which is made up of a single piece PVC strip, out of which the channel is then routed. C&T is proud to take on a global role for packaging producers, ensuring that matrix is constantly developed.”
