BW Packaging pledges 25% emissions cut by 2030 on path to net zero

BW Packaging has recently confirmed new climate targets. Among these goals is a commitment to reduce its scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2030, using 2021 as its baseline year. These targets represent a major milestone in BW Packaging’s sustainability journey, guided by its vision of “People Who Care. Solutions That Perform.

“Sustainability is critical to building a better world for future generations, and BW Packaging has a responsibility to reduce our environmental impact,” said Rachana Creeth, Group President, BW Packaging. “With these new goals, we are holding ourselves accountable to take meaningful action to combat climate change.”

To achieve its emissions reduction target for 2030 and future goals, BW Packaging will explore various opportunities to improve its manufacturing footprint. These initiatives include renewable power procurement, LED lighting retrofits, optimised HVAC controls, operations settings management, destratification fan installation and more.
