BoxWay Packaging Group has confirmed its commitment to becoming verified Carbon Neutral by March this year and also to achieving Net Zero within the next twenty years, five years ahead of the UK’s 2050 target.
BoxWay Packaging Group is steadfastly supporting measures to combat the climate crisis and sustainability by partnering with leading Carbon Accounting Consultants, Turning The Black Country Green (TTBCG), to evolve into a Carbon Neutral business within the next three months. Meanwhile, BoxWay is also undertaking to attain Net Zero by calculating its full 3 scope GHG emission footprint, then building a plan to reduce these emissions to achieve Net Zero by 2045.
“With the effects of climate change threatening every single living thing on planet earth, we are delighted to have started 2025 by committing one hundred per cent to reducing our impact on the climate crisis and become verified Carbon Neutral by 31 March 2025 and Net Zero by 2045, five years ahead of the UK backstop of 2050. We will undertake ISO14068-1 Carbon Neutral certification, meaning we will calculate all GHG emissions and mitigate them each year, to offer all our customers a zero carbon footprint packaging solution,” said Matthew Botting, Group Sales and Marketing Director.
“The GHG emission footprint will include all operational emissions, non-operational emissions, upstream & downstream supply chain emissions and cradle to grave emissions. Net Zero is not only a legal obligation but more importantly a moral obligation and one that we at BoxWay Packaging Group are embedding within our thinking and processes. The upshot? All our packaging solutions will be carbon neutral for all our customers,” said Botting.
