Boix installations at OjiFS

Oji Fibre Solutions has confirmed its Queensland facility in Mareeba has completed the installation of two state-of-the-art carton erecting machines, enhancing its production capabilities for local fruit and vegetable growers.

The newly installed Boix FP-4 and Boix 1530 tray erectors bring cutting-edge technology to the Mareeba facility, supporting the region’s demand for banana, avocado, mango, and citrus trays. “These investments mark a significant step forward in our commitment to improving efficiency, safety, and lowering power consumption, while expanding our service offerings to the local agricultural community,” said the company.

The Boix FP-4 machine, designed primarily for erecting banana trays, and the Boix 1530 tray erector, which handles both P84 and Defor trays, represent the latest in carton erecting technology. These machines feature advanced two-stage erecting capabilities, reducing manual interactions and power consumption (air and electricity), and significantly increasing machine speed and overall efficiency. The FP-4 and 1530 not only decrease operational costs but also contribute to a safer and more streamlined production process at Mareeba.

“As our local sales team in Far North Queensland continues to drive growth, this recent capital investment is greatly appreciated. The addition of these machines not only enhances our local capabilities but also opens up new opportunities to expand our customer base and improve our speed to market,” concluded the company.
