BOBST marks a decade of support for Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre Benevolent Fund

BOBST UK & Ireland has hit a new milestone following the success of its annual charity golf day, held to support the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Benevolent Fund. The 2024 event, marking a decade of support for DMRC, raised more than £14,000. This pushes the grand total of funds raised since the partnership began to over £100,000.

Held at the Redditch Golf Club, the 2024 BOBST Charity Golf Day saw participation from 20 teams comprising Bobst employees, partners, suppliers, and customers. The event is hosted in support of DMRC Benevolent Fund, a volunteer-run charity organisation that provides holistic, occupational and social integration opportunities for injured members of the armed forces at DMRC Stanford Hall, Loughborough.

Neil Jones, General Manager, Bobst UK & Ireland, said, “DMRC Benevolent Fund is a fantastic organisation and one that’s close to our hearts. Reaching the 10-year milestone and surpassing the £100,000 mark is a testament to the generosity and commitment of everyone involved. The annual charity golf day is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a celebration of our collective efforts to support the incredible work done at DMRC Stanford Hall. It has also become an extremely popular event among the printing industry, so we are of course deeply grateful to our sponsors, customers, partners, and participants for their amazing support.”

Brian (George) Dent MBE, Operations Manager, DMRC Benevolent Fund, added, “Having a partner like Bobst for the past ten years has been invaluable, and reaching over £100,000 in funds raised is an incredible achievement. The contributions from Bobst and its community have helped us to deliver support and services to injured and sick armed forces personnel during their rehabilitation at DMRC Stanford Hall.”

Next year’s golf day is planned for Thursday June 26, 2025. Those interested in playing should contact Wendy Perks:  [email protected]
