In August 2020, Rajasthan-based Vijay Craft installed a Bobst Ambition 106 A1 folder-gluer. Sunny Bachchani, Director at Vijay Craft, explained that the company had been looking for a new gluer for some time, specifically for handling corrugated boxes.
“We were introduced to Bobst during an exhibition in Jaipur,” said Bachchani. “We showed the Bobst team the material and challenges we were facing. Then we were invited to Pune for a demo at their competence centre. After the visit, we were absolutely sure of our choice.” Bachchani said.
Established in 2014, Vijay Craft, located in Alwar, Rajasthan, started out with a small corrugated and a few stitching lines. As the company grew, so do its need for better converting machinery and as a result of continuing investment, has become a sizeable supplier of corrugated packagng for a broad range of industries, with the shoe industry being its primary sector.
“The Bobst team was helpful and offered their support at every step, not just in choosing the machine, but also looking at all the processes we undertake in our business. They resolved our problems one by one so that we would not face any issues with the folder-gluer while running the boxes,” said Bachchani. “The new machine has not only solved existing problems in our converting department, it has also doubled our production capacity in a single shift.”
