MIP Srl is an Italian corrugated packaging producer located close to Imola. The world-famous Formula One circuit is not far from the factory, and the area’s well-established wine, ceramics, and mechanical industries are all heavily represented there.
BIMAC confirms that it has reached an agreement with MIP to provide a BOXLINE 13-28 Flexo Printer Slotter, 1350 x 2800mm.
This Boxline 13-28 line is equipped with a Lead Edge Feeder with Dust Removal System; three top printing units with vacuum transfer and IR dryers; ceramic anilox rolls; slotting unit with pre-creasers and creasers shafts; a rotary die-cut unit with servo motors; an automatic sheet stacker with vacuum belts and a non-stop system device; a CNC computer; and video camera line monitoring.
The machine will be entirely designed and developed to satisfy MIP’s particular requirement for a sheet repeat of 1300mm (53”). MIP has said it will be able to boost productivity with a modern and efficient machine, while also reusing the printing plates and rotary dies they have for their previous Curioni machine.
Giorgio Bigiani, Director of Sales, Bimac, says, “This new order confirms our position as a leading manufacturer of tailor-made machines in order to accommodate our customers’ requests. Over the previous three years, we have replaced numerous Piemme, Curioni, Gandossi &Fossati, and Martin machines with multiple Boxline machines that have the same technical features. Using the current printing plates and technology, this solution helps our customers save time and resources by using the existing printing plates and rotary dies with all the benefits of a new machine.”
