Robert Jess, UK & Ireland Sales Manager, Baysek Machines, has confirmed the sale of the new C190 fully automatic die-cutter to Newtown Packaging, an independent corrugated convertor in England.
Luke Verrall, Managing Director, Newtown, visited Baysek at the CCE Exhibition in Germany, along with Operations Manager Jay Nazir and purchased the machine after seeing it in a live production environment.
“Labour costs are rising and automation is being integrated more and more in to the corrugated industry. The C190 is the perfect machine to elevate our business to new heights and the large sheet will give us greater flexibility,” explained Verrall.
Jess added, “The machine will give Newtown the ability to handle higher volume packaging runs and increase capacity even further, and the added solidboard option will allow them to process a variety of solid fibre sheets, enhancing their product portfolio across multiple sectors. The machine will be installed in the summer.”
The C190 automatic die-cutter has a maximum sheet size of 1400 x 1900mm. Large one-outs, more complex work, and multiple-outs up to 60 individual pieces per cycle are easily handled with all waste being pneumatically vacuumed away, with no nicks, tags or angel hair. The finished parts exit the machine already counted and neatly stacked in a full pallet immediately ready for shipping, saving both time and additional labour costs as no further handling is required such as ‘breaking out’ or manually removing finished parts from the machine.
