Damme, Germany based Zerhusen Kartonagen are expanding their premises in Osterdamme and adding an automated paper warehouse.
“This investment enables us to ensure the supply of base paper to the two corrugators as well as the supply of raw materials to the second plant in Niedersachsenpark,” explains Roland Zerhusen. “For this reason, we will locate the automated paper warehouse in the southern area of the site, close to the WPA.”
The building complex will consist of two parts. On the one hand, from a 12m high goods receiving area and on the other hand, from a 27m crane warehouse. In total, the new building is 180m long and 25m wide.
“We look forward to tackling this project as early as this spring. We anticipate a 15-month construction phase so that the new automated paper warehouse can be put into operation in autumn 2025,” concludes Roland Zerhusen.
