Atlas Packaging has taken delivery of a Bobst Expertfold 230 A4 featuring Accueject XL at its site in North Devon – the first installation of its kind in the UK.
The investment comes as the company seeks to deliver continuous improvement and enhanced service through outstanding quality and turnaround time to its customers, ensuring it remains at the forefront of production.
Atlas Packaging Managing Director, Jason Sharman, said, “This is the latest in a long line of continual strategic investments across the business to ensure we stay relevant for customers and continue delivering consistent, high-quality corrugated packaging solutions.” This latest investment complements existing Bobst machinery at the site, including a Visionfold 145 A2.
The Expertfold 230 A4 features the Accueject XL device. Linked with any quality control system, it ejects skewed cartons where glue has been missed or not applied, offering real-time quality assurance and greater throughput. The machine has the fastest set-up time in its class and can smoothly and precisely fold corrugated board up to 35mm thick. It can handle 4- and 6-corner crash-lock containers, as well as 4-corner boxes on short and longer runs.
