ASC Direct Ltd, the online division of Yorkshire, UK-based ASC Cartons Ltd, has now taken delivery of a BCS-Autobox Quick Set Boxmaker. Ashley Power, Production Manager of ASC says, “The new machine complements our existing short run machines including three BCS Autobox machines that we have run successfully for the past 15 years. We can now boost our flexibility within our target markets and further enhance the products that we sell through ASC Direct Ltd, our online sales platform.”
The new machine speeds up the production of FEFCO 0401 and 0426/7 styles without the need for dies or multiple passes on manual machines – these box styles are proving especially popular with online customers. The machine automatically sets between box styles and sizes and board grades and produces boxes to exacting tolerances.
Arran Sethi, BCS’s Sales Manager comments, “With this investment, ASC will reduce their double shifted slitting operation by at least 50% as well as making box production more efficient. The Autobox can multi out in length, making stock sheets more manageable.”
